Quick Overview

Risto no longer wholesales these shoes to resellers. By clicking the Add to Cart button you will be taken directly to the manufacturer's website where you can order the shoes directly from Risto.

Engineered and designed by actual weightlifting coaches and competitors, Risto Sports Olympic lifting shoes are guaranteed to help you lift big. All Risto shoes are hand made of high quality leather by artisans in Colombia, a USA ally. These shoes have a lower carbon footprint as they are made of all local materials. The heel is made of a solid wood platform and is finished with rubber for an excellent grip. Unlike other shoes with a fixed heel height, the heel on a Risto shoe is proportional to the size of the shoe with a size 9 mens shoe having roughly a 1" heel. The toe box is made of molded leather, featuring a work boot like fit in the toe area and run wider than average athletic shoes.

All Risto shoes are hand made of high quality leather by artisans in Colombia, a USA ally. These shoes have a lower carbon footprint as they are made of all local materials. Unlike other shoes with a fixed heel height, the heel on a Risto shoe is proportional to the size of the shoe with a size 40 shoe having roughly a 1" heel. This makes the shoes much more anatomically correct. The toe box is made of molded leather, featuring a work boot like fit in the toe area and run slightly wider than average athletic shoes.

How to Select Your Size Using the Risto Sizing Chart

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY TO ENSURE A PROPER FIT

Measure your bare foot from heel to toe by placing your foot against a wall and measuring from the wall to the end of your big toe. DO NOT trace your foot and measure the tracing as this does not take into account the length of your heel bone. Add 1 centimeter OR a ½ inch to your measurement. Look for the closest number to this in the "Interior Shoe Length" columns of the Sizing Chart. Scroll across to the left to see what the Risto Size is at that measurement. (If you fall between two sizes it is usually best to round up and select the larger size.)

In other words, you want to order a shoe that is a centimeter or half inch longer than your bare foot.

Example: Your foot measures 10 inches from heel to toe. You would add a half inch to that measurement and find the closest size using the sizing chart. We find that 10.55 inches is the closest interior length, which equals a size 40 Risto.

Well built shoes Review by Timothy All My Reviews  (2)

I bought a pair of these shoes for my son. They were better than expected. Risto shoes are well built & sharp looking. He LOVES them. FYI if you use the sizing chart & your kid is still growing then add 2 sizes to what it says you will need. I added 1 size for room to grow & they fit him perfect know lesson learned. My son has noticed a big difference in his lifting technique compared to his old shoes. Will defiantly buy this brand again.

Questions for Risto Sports Weightlifting Shoe - Black

  • From Trevor Brandt-Sarif at 11/3/10 1:21 AM
    • I'm concerned that you mention the possibility of exchanging shoes if they don't fit for a size that does, but both sizes adjacent to what I think I need (42's) are out of stock. If they don't fit, can I easily return them for a 100% refund?
    • Yes, if the shoes do not fit then you can return them for a full refund LESS the shipping charges to you. Please note that we have not had a single return due to sizing issue from anyone who has followed the sizing instructions listed on the product page. If you follow those instructions exactly, you will get the correct size.

  • From Hilary S at 11/7/10 12:12 PM
    • I'm concerned about sizing because my husband takes a wide fitting shoe ( normally 4E) - your sizing chart only refers to foot length. How do you accommodate for width for proper fitting?
    • Naturally shoe width increases with the shoe size, but 4E... Yikes! Ristos are some of the wider shoes on the market, and the laces on the Series 2 shoes go a little further down the forefoot allowing more adjustment there. You're best bet would be to let me know what model and size you need and I can provide you with the width of the shoe at that size.
